Bhiwapur is famous for red chilies, the main occupation of people in this town is related to processing chilies. It ir believed that “Bhiwapur Chilli is known for its pungency, dark red colour, thick outer covering that reduces chances of breakage and ensures long shelf-life.. It is the only chili type which even if , consumed in large quantity, does not have any sde effect and does not cause acidity”. Red chilies are very rich in vitamin C and pro-vitamin A. In the representation, the farmers specified the qualities of ‘Bhiwapuri Mirchi’.
